Federal and NSW governments to share value of flood clear up

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has introduced the federal authorities and New South Wales authorities will equally share the price of cleansing up the devastation left behind as flood waters recede.

“We will carry this load together as we have already carried so many other loads together over these last few years,” he stated.

“What meaning is we’ll be capable to assist small enterprise grants for these instantly impacted … of as much as $50,000 and importantly main producer grants of as much as $75,000.

“The partnership between the NSW authorities and the federal authorities has been extraordinary.”

The announcement follows a tour carried out by the prime minister, Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro of flood-damaged areas of the Mid North Coast.
