A new space arrives at the brewer Largo da Batata, in Pinheiros. The Black Princess House inaugurates this Thursday (30) its house, dedicated to the consumption of a lot of music and, of course, the labels of Black Princess, premium beer from the Petrópolis group. At first, the bar is open until November 28, always from Wednesday to Sunday.
With modern architecture, careful lighting and instagramable spaces, the Black Princess house wants to give vent to new musical attractions, many of which were born during the pandemic and were successful on social networks, but were still waiting for a stage.
“We brought a very diverse line-up. There are 19 bands and 28 DJs, some that were born in the middle of the pandemic, but never had the opportunity to present themselves to the public. These are bands that are building a new story today, which could become a classic tomorrow”, says Eliana Cassandre, Grupo Petrópolis’ marketing manager. She recalls that many of the attractions were suggested by super DJ Alok, the brand’s partner in other projects.
Don’t be surprised if you feel a certain déjà vu when you reach number 640 Rua Fernão Dias, in the face of Largo da Batata. Is that the address has housed another seasonal bar in the past, the Pop-up Taproom Lagunitas.
“Largo da Batata is a very bohemian space, with many stories. It has glamour, it is in the middle of São Paulo, it has gastronomy, commerce, it is a very democratic region. And there is a diversity of audiences, which is what we want to bring to the brand”, explains Cassandre, when choosing the location, close to other big brands, such as Goose Island Brewhouse and Hoegaarden Greenhouse — this one, practically next to the new Black Princess House.
Also associated with the musical side, the new bar has a mini studio for recording podcasts. Above the stage, there’s also an area for anyone wanting to get a tattoo — a beer motif, preferably.
For drinking, the bar will have the eight Black Princess line labels: Gold (a premium lager), Dark, Doctor Weiss, Let’s Hop, Miss Blonde, Back To the Red, Tião Bock and Apa-82. There are also seasonal labels that can take turns, such as the recently launched Gimme Fire (long neck only), a rauchbier with a smoky aroma and 5.6% alcohol.
For eating, the Black Princess House offers a rotation of food trucks, parked beside tables in an open area. In the first week, the menu is hamburgers, including a vegan option.
Even with care due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the house has established more rigorous protocols than the industry average for those who want to visit the establishment: you must register on the website blackprincesshouse.com.br. At the entrance, limited to one hundred people, it will be necessary to show proof of vaccination. The use of a mask is mandatory in the space, which promises to respect the distance between tables and offer alcohol gel.
